Suzanne began studying flute at age nine with recording artist John Mayhan in Los Angeles at Sydney Kaye's Music Scene. As a member of Jan Gassman's children's choir at St. James Presbyterian Church, she sang on jazz vocalist Sue Raney's 1969 album, With A Little Help From My Friends, on the Capitol Records label.

She continued to study at Kaye's with saxophonist-flutist Jules Kinsler (who played in Louis Prima's and Nelson Riddle's big bands of the 50s and 60s).

Suzanne majored in music at Los Angeles Pierce College, and since '81 has taught woodwinds and performed professionally with various ensembles at hundreds of weddings, lounges, cafes and formal events.

She has performed duets with jazz guitarist Russ Freeman (the Rippingtons), jazz-classical guitarist Jory Schulman (Rustic Canyon Music), and worked regularly with Southern California singer-songwriter Bray Ghiglia throughout the 80s and 90s.

Concert venues have included the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA), the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), the Four Oaks Restaurant (L.A.) and the Hollywood Palace (CA).

In '88 she and guitarist Robert Slap released the CD
Shared Blessings, on the Valley of the Sun label, Malibu, CA. She has been living and working in Asheville since 2006.
